Australia has a shortage of people willing to work

I don’t often find myself agreeing with Labor MPs but what was the Liberal majority on the parliamentary migration committee thinking when they recommended filling scarce flights to Australia (and taking up quarantine spots) with migrants when the rest of us can’t travel and there are still 1.3 million local workers on welfare?
